The time is finally here, Painted Tree’s Grand Opening Festival & Home Tour! 10 model homes!
Plus, live music, tasty food, fresh local brews … it’s the convergence of art and nature and people and goats (yes, goats, along with a menagerie of other animals). Painted Tree’s promise of a walk inspired starts with this festive inaugural celebration — like the first step in a delightful journey — and the first tours of glorious new model homes. McKinney’s new trailside community is coming to life.

Each offering something different in style and design, resulting in a variety of homes that satisfies a variety of families and their needs. Remember to pick up a Tour Passport and collect stickers along the way for a chance to win one of several adventure-themed prizes. A trolley will provide transportation to all the models — where the fun continues.

McKinney’s favorite performers take center stage! Get ready to tap your toes, snap your fingers and cut a rug to the musical stylings of Jessica McVey
(noon—1:45pm) and Maylee Thomas Band, featuring McKinney’s own Mayor George Fuller on guitar (2:00pm—4:00pm).
FOOD, FESTIVITIES & FUN
Complementing the cool music, Atmos Energy will be handing out complimentary frozen delights—Frios gourmet pops—in the Cooling Zone. Cadillac Pizza and The Yard will provide tasty food options. Tupps Brewery and Union Bear will be pouring cold beverages. Coincidentally, games that can be played with said beverage in hand, like Cornhole and Giant Jenga will be first-come-first-enjoyed. There will be a rock wall, rock painting, a petting zoo for kids, and much, much more!
GETTING HERE
From I-75
From I-75, go west on Hwy 380. Then, north on Hardin Blvd and left on Taylor-Burk Drive. Take your first right into Painted Tree. Follow the signs to the event parking and entrance.

Please use 3208 Abelia Street, McKinney, TX 75071 in your Maps app to get you close to the entrance, then follow the Event Parking signs for parking and entrance.
Start your tour at the Village Trailhead Event Lawn
Pick up a map, some swag and your Tour Passport. Then, receive a Passport sticker at each model home stop along the tour. Turn your Passport in with at least 7 out of 10 stickers and you could win one of several cool outdoor-themed prizes, including a trail bike and $1,000 REI gift card, a YETI water bottle, or YETI soft cooler! Have fun exploring Painted Tree!
